The PADI Bubblemaker Experience
What a great way to introduce children to scuba diving in a pool in less than six feet of water. Celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker party with friends and family. It's fun, easy and safe.
Youngsters can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don't have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 metres/ 6 feet.
What You Learn
Kids get a chance to experience what scuba diving is like under the direct care and supervision of PADI Instructors, take their first breath underwater, learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults.
The Scuba Gear You Use
All the equipment you will need is included in a Discover Scuba Diving experience. You'll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask and snorkel, fins, a wetsuit, a buoyancy compensating jacket (BCD) that carries your weights and scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply.
The Learning Materials & What You Need To Bring
Ready to blow bubbles? The Bubblemaker crewpak gives kids a memento of their visit to the underwater world and is full of fun surprises. The pack includes: a kid-sized beach towel, log book, certificate, temporary tattoo emblem and the adorable and a popular Bubblemaker "action figure". Adults love them, too.
To take participate in the Bubblemaker program you must be at least 8 years old.
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
If you (or your physician) have questions about medical fitness to dive, contact the experts at Divers Alert Network (DAN).
